I hate breakfast
I’ve heard this phrase more times than I can count in my years as a fitness, nutrition, and weight loss coach.
While I don’t necessarily view it as “the most important meal of the day,” most people are best set for success when they have breakfast. (There are others who benefit from not doing so, but I don’t recommend that for beginner fat loss clients)
And I have to confess. I’m in the I HATE BREAKFAST boat. Literally as far back as I can remember I never liked eating breakfast. I remember drinking chocolate milk in the mornings when I was really young and slim fasts for breakfast before high school.
People hate it for a variety of reasons, including:
- Being short on time in the mornings
- Not knowing how to prepare a healthy breakfast
- They just don’t feel hungry or like eating
So what’s the solution if you’re trying to shed body fat AND you hate breakfast?
PROTEIN SHAKES! Seriously…I’ve been so excited about protein shakes lately – more than ever before.
I’ve been using Arbonne nutrition products in my shakes and not only do they taste amazing (plus they’re gluten, soy, and dairy free), but let me tell you about the nutrition I’m getting:
- 20 grams of protein
- 12 grams of fiber
- Digestive enzymes
- Good fat
I mix my chocolate protein powder, a scoop of fiber, packet of digestive enzymes, 1 tbsp of peanut butter, ice, and a bit of water. SO GOOD and I feel like I’m having a milk shake for breakfast.
